Ministers of Hospitality
Ministers of Hospitality Help Set the Tone for a Joyful Fellowship and Worship
The primary responsibilities of the Ministers of Hospitality are to greet and seat parishioners and visitors as they arrive at St. Augustine and to assist with the offering of people's collection gifts. They also assist in forming the offertory procession during Mass.
The Ministers of Hospitality, often called ushers in other denominations, will diligently find the proper seating for those with physical disabilities, or for large visiting groups who want to sit together. These ushers also can assist new parishoners in meeting other members of St. Augustine or in becoming familiar with some of our customs.
This group of ministers want to help you get connected. Leon Jones is the leader of the Ministers of Hospitality.
“God does not ask you to surrender your nature or its faculties, for these are fresh from His hands, but to go with the same limbs that clad you at your birth into blessedness”. Father Isaac Hecker, founder of the Paulist Fathers
